Kolb Bakery Equipment Deepens Cooperation with JOBB

Recently, the JOBB Vocational Empowerment Project team visited Kolb’s only production base in China, located in the Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park of Yuanzhou Town, Boluo County, Huizhou, Guangdong.

Since the launch of the project, JOBB has received strong support from Kolb.

Inside the JOBB baking classroom, Kolb’s presence is everywhere—from small mixers and sheeters to proofers and deck ovens. Each piece of equipment is simple and user-friendly, and with reliable sealing and precise temperature control, provides solid hardware support for producing high-quality bread.

About Kolb

Originating in Europe in 1935, Kolb has built its reputation as a professional baking equipment brand. After entering Asia, the company has continued its commitment to high stability, low energy consumption, and user-first principles. Since establishing its Huizhou branch, Kolb has gained recognition from professionals in over 80 countries worldwide through continuous technological innovation and customer-centered service.

Fiona, Head of Marketing, gave a detailed introduction to the company and led a tour of its main workshops and facilities, offering us a first-hand look at Kolb’s people-oriented corporate culture.

It is worth noting that most factory employees have worked at Kolb for 10–20 years. For them, this is not just a job but also a bond and a sense of belonging. As a major taxpayer in Huizhou, Kolb also shoulders its corporate social responsibility, taking a grounded and conscientious approach for many years.

Given Guangdong’s hot climate and the lack of air conditioning in the workshops, the company prepares herbal tea every day for employees—especially those working on the shop floor—to help them stay cool.

This care for employees extends to Kolb’s focus on products. By adhering to a people-first philosophy, Kolb ensures its designs meet the needs of different user groups. Fiona highlighted that some equipment is designed with special populations in mind—for example, automatic opening features in convection ovens and customizable sound alerts. This attention to detail makes Kolb stand out in the industry and provides strong support for JOBB’s daily teaching. From the very first cohort, JOBB has included students with special needs, and Kolb’s easy-to-use and highly operable equipment has been unanimously praised by both students and professional instructors.

Deepening Cooperation

Starting with the third JOBB cohort in September, Kolb will deepen its cooperation with the project. In addition to providing hardware support, Kolb will recommend one of its top technical experts from the Eastern region—Mr. Yu Dongyue—to teach weekly in-person classes at the JOBB classroom.

Through his teaching and guidance, Mr. Yu will not only help students refine their technical skills but also lead them to gain deeper insights into how baking equipment and hardware conditions affect taste and flavor. According to the teaching progress, he will also share more market-oriented and practical recipes, giving students a well-rounded understanding of the baking industry.

We look forward to seeing Kolb and Ruifeng join hands to create more diverse career opportunities for more diverse groups of people.
